Equipment Operator V

The City of Kelowna has an exciting opportunity for an Equipment Operator V within our Roadways Construction Branch of the Infrastructure Delivery Department.  An Equipment Operator V operates and maintains heavy mobile equipment of a complex nature in accordance with competency standards, safety practices, regulations as well as performing manual work.  This position is primarily responsible for operating a Grader. 

Qualifications

• BC Drivers Licence - Class 3 or Class 1 with Air Ticket
• Experience finish grading in road building and/or municipal operations 
• Ability to obtain City of Kelowna Certification on designated equipment (+2000 hours experience on grader)
• Experience in Winter Operations activities with Graders & Tandems
• Experience with operating an Excavator, Skid Steer and Tandem Axle Truck
• High School graduation or equivalent
