Administrative Services Coordinator (2024-12)

 

North Vancouver City Library is seeking a motivated, conscientious, and upbeat Administrative Services Coordinator to join our team (regular full-time, 70 hours bi-weekly).
 
Reporting to the Manager, People, Finance and IT, the administrative services coordinator is responsible to:

  • Coordinate day-to-day administrative activities for the library, including planning, directing and reviewing the work of administrative services assistants;
  • Coordinate and support recruitment, onboarding, training and development; and develop and maintain documents and systems for human resource administration;
  • Schedule up to 60 employees and make daily adjustments to support operations in response to emergent staffing needs;
  • Source and organize delivery of training based on identified organizational needs and priorities;
  • Plan and implement programs and events that promote staff engagement and wellness; and
  • Support the implementation and evaluation of the library’s diversity, equity, access and inclusion priority actions.

Qualifications
Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in business or public administration, human resources or a related field, plus 3 to 5 years related experience in an office setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
 
Experience in a unionized, government and/or non-profit environment would be an asset.

$33.25 – $39.14/hour (pay grade 18; 2024 rates*) + benefits

Schedule:
North Vancouver City Library offers a flexible work arrangement for full-time employees resulting in an additional rest day during each two-week period.
 
Week 1
Monday – 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Tuesday – 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Wednesday – 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Thursday – 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Friday – 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
 
Week 2
Tuesday – 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesday – 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Thursday – 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Friday – 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
 
Schedules are reviewed periodically and subject to change. Evenings and weekends may be required.
