Airport Technology and Innovation Manager

We’re currently searching for an experienced Technology and Innovation Manager who will be responsible for the overall development, implementation and oversight of our technology and innovation strategies including the ongoing management, operation, maintenance, restoration, replacement and renewal of all technology equipment, systems, and related processes.

Our diverse and dynamic team strives to innovate to make things better, work as one team, serve proudly, and lead responsibly.  As the Technology and Innovation Manager, you will will design and implement a strategic vision of an Airport of the Future, including how technology and innovation will transform the business in the areas of passenger self-service, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, digital transformation, operational efficiencies, and related fields.

You have a Post secondary degree in computer science or related discipline supplemented with a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively more responsible experience with systems, information technology and operational technology management. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered. Considerable experience managing complex environments including vendor management, budget management, governance, compliance, process control management, relationship management, emergency response management is required. In addition, considerable experience successfully initiating, planning, and implementing business process design initiatives that impact internal and external parties is key. Previous experience in an aviation or airport environment is an asset.

Key skills include the ability to maintain a good understanding of the diverse business requirements of the Airport and conceptualize those into corporate strategies, to research and evaluate innovative technologies, to successfully design and implement applications development and configuration initiatives and to recommend and implement security, privacy, and quality assurance requirements as well as corporate and legislated standards for confidential data. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).

This position operates within a diverse and complex environment established by the Airport and the Aeronautics Act, with respect to the variety of internal and external requirements and relationships. To be successful, the incumbent must balance the requirements of various stakeholders to achieve an integrated functional airport operating environment, within budget and in accordance with established Airport requirements.
