We are actively seeking a talented HR Advisor – Job Evaluation to work as part of our People and Culture team conducting meetings and research, analyzing data and preparing written communications, reports and recommendations related to a broad range of human resources services including compensation and job evaluation. As an HR Advisor – Job Evaluation you will be responsible for conducting research on Human Resources programs, policies and services; job evaluation requests, job and organizational reviews and salary administration activities. You will have the opportunity to participate in meetings to clarify job evaluation questions; developing and presenting workshop materials; preparing and maintaining a variety of electronic records, reports and correspondence to support compensation and job evaluation activities. In this role you will research and gather information to support retro payments, cost benefit analysis, impact and scenario analysis and production of statistical reports, summaries and briefs while identifying opportunities for service improvement and participating in business process improvement. Performs related work as required.

Qualifications include a University Degree in Human Resources or a related field and 3 to 5 years recent related Human Resources and/or compensation (job evaluation) experience; Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. As an HR Advisor - Job Evaluation you will have considerable knowledge of HRIS such as SAP; compensation plans/systems, group benefit and pension plans, preferably in a unionized or public sector environment; knowledge of standard Human Resources policies and practices and bargaining unit collective agreement language related to wages and classification. This role requires the ability to establish a strong collaborative working relationships with clients and co-workers; communicate articulately and concisely; analyze information and manage, coordinate and deliver multiple projects under tight timelines. Additionally, you will be able to work independently while being equipped with superior clerical aptitude and skill in the use of software applications used in the work.

This is a temporary full-time opportunity until December 31, 2024.
