Join the fun in Recreation! Langley City is looking for casual Junior Leaders in the Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department. The Junior Leaders assist the Senior Leader in planning, developing, promoting, implementing, executing, and evaluating week-long, theme related day camps for children. The casual assignments will start on June 24, 2024, and will conclude on August 30, 2024.
The successful candidates will have strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills. The successful candidates will also meet the following Canada Summer Jobs requirements: 30 years of age or under at the start of employment; a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or recognized Refugee in Canada; hold a valid Social Insurance Number; and are legally entitled to work in Canada. RATE OF PAY:              
$23.26 - $23.48 per hour (2021 CUPE rates)
Up to 40 hours per week; start and end times depend on programming, for example: 6:45am to 2:45pm, 8:30am to 4:30pm, 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Casual employees are paid 12.5% of their regular earnings in lieu of benefits and paid annual vacation.
