LIFEGUARD
Up to 20 Casual Positions
 
Saanich Commonwealth Place is seeking multiple certified Lifeguards who will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants in aquatic activities.  Lifeguards will ensure that participants are acting in accordance with facility rules and the facility and equipment are in safe, working condition.  They also lead activities, games and events of interest to the users.
 
Requirements include completion of Grade 10; current National Lifeguard Service certification (Waterpark Option); current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation certification – Level C with AED certification; current Standard First Aid Level 1 certification; over one month, up to and including three months experience; satisfactory police information check. The successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends and nights (hours/shifts are subject to change).
 
These are C.U.P.E. Local 2011 positions with a wage of $25.65 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits.
