Accounting Technician
Columbia Basin Trust is seeking an Accounting Technician to join our team. This is a regular, full-time position based out of the Trust’s Castlegar office.
The salary range for this position is $59,800 – 70,400.
Reporting to the Accountant, the successful candidate will:
- Code and process a high volume of invoices for all company accounts payable, ensuring timely payments.
- Respond to vendor and staff payment and invoicing queries.
- Monitor and maintain accounts and review and reconcile statements.
- Provide general financial and accounting support.
We are looking for an individual who has completed a minimum two-year education program in business administration or accounting. The ideal candidate will have two years of experience in finance and administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with Great Plains, Microsoft Customer Relationship Management software or Caseware is an asset. Working knowledge of accounting principles, strong computer skills, as well as the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality are required.
