Forensic Video Technician


The City of Campbell River is seeking a Forensic Video Technician to join their Police Services team.

The role… you will perform specialized technical work utilizing forensic video analysis and techniques in support of the Police Services department and the Asset Management department clients. You will review, perform technical level forensic video analyses, and process a variety of video evidence for investigative and court purposes.

Our ideal candidate will….

  • have completed a two (2) year accredited technical diploma program in video technology, broadcast television or another discipline relevant to the field of forensic video analysis.
  • Have three (3) years related experience in a video technology role, preferably in a law enforcement environment, within the last five (5) years.
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence and produce and maintain a clean driver’s abstract.

The rate of pay for this permanent, full-time, CUPE bargaining unit position is $33.14 per hour based on a 35-hour work week and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
