We are currently inviting applications for the Information Technology Security Analyst position in our search for a friendly and experienced person to join our team. If you are highly technically savvy and skilled in cyber security, we want to hear from you!
Under the general direction of the Manager, Information Services, you’ll deliver highly skilled security services including developing and administering a comprehensive cyber security business continuity program. You’ll lead the planning and service implementations that balance security and usability needs while overseeing the Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) security infrastructure.  And you’ll continually monitor evolving threat vectors and adapt security measures to protect our networks, devices, systems, and information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction.
 
Compensation and Hours of Work
This is a bargaining unit position with a wage rate of $44.46 per hour working 35 hours per week with flexible work schedules and hybrid working arrangements subject to mutual agreement and operational requirements.  Annual vacation starts at 4% and increases to 6% after a four-month probationary period.  You’ll also then receive a full benefit package that includes extended health and dental coverage, paid sick leave, family responsibility leave, 13 paid statutory holidays (after 30 days’ employment), eyewear, eye exams, group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability benefits, participation in the municipal pension plan, access to the employee and family assistance program, and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
