COMMUNITY PROGRAMMER II – Financial Development

Permanent Full Time Position

The Financial Development Programmer II role oversees all aspects of the department’s assistance to low-income residents. Duties include facilitating the LIFE (Leisure Involvement for Everyone) and Canadian Tire Jumpstart grant programs, developing new funding streams, and coordinating the department’s pursuit of granting opportunities. This role also builds community partnerships with agencies that provide services to low-income residents.

Requirements include a university degree in recreation, leisure studies or related field; three years of experience in related programming; satisfactory police information check and a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence.  The successful candidate will be required to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and evenings as required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preference is given to those who have a demonstrated history of grant writing and coordination. As a component of the selection process, testing will be conducted. 

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $49.03 per hour and an excellent benefits package. Job description and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca.
