Responsibilities
Performs various duties related to the processing and storage of information contained in security reports.
Enters relevant investigation data into a computerized record keeping system and conducts searches on previous investigations.
Performs a variety of duties related to the controlling of investigation information and production of computer-generated reports.
Produces computer generated reports such as weekly crime reports and researches and provides specific information as requested by the Manager, Operations Supervisor, Support Supervisor, or by Investigator/Analyst.
Maintains the fare audit information system, compiles information and produces statistical reports according to end user requirements.
Maintains the Security operational filing system and destroys files in accordance with legislated time frames.
Performs various routine clerical duties such as typing reports and correspondence as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Requires Grade 12 graduation including successful completion of courses in office procedures, word processing, spreadsheet software and database management.
EXPERIENCE:
Requires one (1) year previous clerical experience working in a general office environment, including experience in computerized payroll and record keeping functions in addition to standard clerical office support functions. A further period of up to six (6) months on the job is required to become familiar with investigation files and codes, to become familiar with computer systems, databases and software and to gain knowledge of departmental operations and the COPE collective agreements as is pertains to the processing of payroll.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
Work Schedule
18.75 hours per week.
This is a part-time, regular position.

Rate of Pay
Salary $4,690 - $5,628 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity)
