Burnaby Golf Operations is seeking customer service-driven individuals to work seasonally in the Golf Division starting in the spring. Duties and responsibilities of Golf Services Assistants (Golf Course Marshals) include, but are not restricted to:
• Ensuring customers have an enjoyable experience at our golf facilities
• Working as a part of the Golf Team to maintain proper pace of play on the golf courses
• Monitor guests to ensure and enforce course regulation compliance
• Performing light duty course maintenance (repair ball marks, pick up loose garbage, clean up tee boxes)
• Performing minor custodial duties
• Performing related duties as required
Qualifications include Grade 12 graduation, including or supplemented by standard commercial courses; plus some related public contact experience, preferably in golf operations, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Requirements include the ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public, and some knowledge of golf course procedures and regulations including golf rules and etiquette. A Driver's Licence for the Province of British Columbia, Class 5, is an asset.
Hourly wage: $22.53 + 12% in lieu of benefits.
