Our Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department is looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals as Personal Trainers (Levels 1, 2 and 3) in our recreation centres to provide personal training programs for youth, adults and older adults, focusing on functional exercises, balance, agility, cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility. Personal Trainers will also perform related work as required.

Applicants must hold current registration with BCRPA in Personal Training or related equivalent with one or more fitness-related modules, i.e. Older Adult, Osteofit, Pilates and Yoga Fitness and have experience planning and delivering personal training sessions.  Other related duties include communicating with Program Coordinators as well as program/equipment set up and tear down. Other qualifications include current First Aid certification and CPR Level C and strong customer service and communication skills. This work is suitable to individuals seeking occasional and/or part-time seasonal work. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience exceeding six months.
