BUILDING SERVICE WORKER II - Supervisor

Permanent Full Time Position
 
Gordon Head Recreation Centre is recruiting for a permanent full-time Building Service Worker II - Supervisor to perform supervisory and manual work ensuring effective and efficient on-going maintenance services for buildings and equipment in municipal recreation facilities with swimming pools. The Building Service Worker II - Supervisor plans and performs routine cleaning and maintenance work as well as supervision, scheduling and training of full time, part-time and auxiliary staff and ensures the smooth operation of all programs and activities occurring in the building.
 
Requirements include: Grade 12 or equivalent; Pool Operators I and II Qualification; WHMIS certification valid within 1 year; Occupational First Aid Level I as required; two years’ experience in the building maintenance field including one year of experience in a supervisory capacity; valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence; and sufficient physical strength to perform the work and stamina to work varying shifts. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
 
The successful candidate will work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays (hours/shifts are subject to change).
 
This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $37.53 per hour plus an excellent benefits package.
