ABOUT THE JOB
You will provide great customer experiences by responding to user calls; investigating and resolving routine software and hardware issues; assisting in installing, configuring and testing new applications, equipment, and system updates; providing user orientation and assistance; performing system maintenance, back-up and recovery; and preparing and maintaining documentation and correspondence.
ABOUT YOU
You are committed to service excellence. You have considerable knowledge regarding the installation and operation of computer equipment and software applications; sound knowledge of communications and local area networks; and are able to investigate and resolve software and hardware issues. In addition, you have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contacts; perform informal training for users; and provide advice, information and assistance when required.
DESIRABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 graduation supplemented by computer systems and applications courses plus sound related experience.
REQUIREMENTS
A valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence is required. All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a requirement of the position. Candidates must be prepared to work at any of our facilities.
HOURS OF WORK
This is a unionized auxiliary position with hours as required and may involve shift work between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, up to 35 hours per week.
HOURLY RATE: $29.70 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits.
