This clerical position plays an important role in maintaining essential Fire Prevention applications relating to workforce management and records management systems. A strong understanding of workforce scheduling, personnel profiles and various aspects of training, certification and incident records for staff is essential. The ability to develop and configure business rules in management systems to meet rules and departmental policies and procedures is essential. The noted applications are used to track and produce reports for various divisions and supervisors. Maintaining quality of data for regular reporting purposes is also a key requirement.
The ideal candidate have previous municipal or government experience, considerable knowledge of Fire/Rescue practices, procedures, rules and regulations and have extensive experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio as well as applications such as AMANDA, TEMPEST, FDM (Fire Department Records Management System). If you are able to perform at a high professional level in terms of administrative tasks, recordkeeping, relational database management, as well as show initiative in updating and creating new streamlined processes; and have previous supervisory experience, this role may be perfect for you!
