Description

This is analytical work in support of the organization’s implementation of an IT Service Management System. An incumbent of this class performs a number of activities supporting the implementation of the application; reviews, validates and documents system configurations against business requirements, develops test cases and test data and executes tests, assists in the identification and documentation of issues and the resolution of problems. An incumbent also develops training modules and delivering same, performs data assembly, data cleansing, data entry and validation of transferred data; may administer workflows and design, build and customize apps; compiles and documents application metrics. Prepares and maintains a variety of reports and analytics related to the work; keeps abreast of recent developments in related systems, processes and applications. Performs related work as required.

Qualifications include completion of a university degree at the Bachelor’s level in Computer Science or a related discipline and some related IT Service Management experience, OR, an equivalent combination of training and experience.. Working knowledge of information technology service desk processes and practices including incident management, request management, knowledge management and asset management. Ability to perform problem definition and analysis related to business processes and systems planning; ability to analyze and evaluate various data and information, develop logical solutions for assigned problems and assess the implications of proposed changes; strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with developing and maintaining operating procedures and an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation V4 certification is considered an asset.

This is a temporary full time opportunity until December 31, 2022.
