In this role, the Director, Human Resources will be responsible for the direction, leadership, management, and administration of the Human Resources (HR) Department. This is the unique opportunity to design and implement significant change to the workplace culture at every level. Displaying a caring and compassion for people, the Director, HR will focus largely on employee engagement and will ensure that organizational values are demonstrated at every level of the City.
As the successful candidate, you have a passion for public service and for embracing the community in which you live. You have demonstrated experience as a credible leader who inspires and challenges others to achieve their full potential. Using a combination of both education and experience, you have led a successful culture transformation within a large complex organization and have worked to create an empowered HR team focused on driving employee engagement. You have the proven ability to think strategically, recognize gaps/opportunities, and are comfortable moving across organizational lines to initiate action.
You have strong business acumen and excellent demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. You are able to use tact, patience, and diplomacy in difficult situations to preserve effective, trusting relationships.
