Temporary Full-Time Seasonal Opportunities Available
 
The City of Delta’s Parks Outside Operations services Delta’s three communities: Ladner, North Delta, and Tsawwassen. Exciting opportunities and challenges await those with a passion for horticulture and/or arboriculture. We are seeking reliable, self-motivated and flexible team players with experience and/or training to perform a variety of tasks in a range of labouring positions including:
 
Parks Maintenance Workers                    General Labourers
Equipment Operators                               Trades Gardeners
 
Your duties will vary in these positions and you will be responsible for performing manual and semi-skilled tasks. You must have the ability to work independently, effectively and efficiently without direct supervision. Good physical condition with the ability to perform heavy manual outdoor work in all weather conditions is required. Public relations and interpersonal skills are essential for success in these positions.
 
A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a safe driving record is required. In order to be considered for this position, candidates must submit a current Driver’s Abstract showing five years history along with their application. Applications submitted without a Driver’s Abstract will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered. Please have this document ready to upload when you apply. Successful candidates will be selected based on the experience and skills related to the job. Preference may be given to those who have completed training or courses in relation to horticulture or arboriculture.
