The City of Windsor is seeking a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to provide strategic leadership during an ambitious period of growth and change.

The CAO is responsible to City Council for the management of all human, financial and physical resources of the City while providing strategic guidance and advice for the effective delivery and ongoing improvement of programs and services to the residents of Windsor. The CAO leads a top notch and tight knit municipal senior leadership team to ensure the efficient and economical operation of the City while coordinating and supervising the implementation of the policies and programs of Council, and the overall management of all of the City’s affairs.

As an ideal candidate, you are a highly respected leader with a university degree and a minimum of ten years of progressively senior experience gained in a municipal setting or similarly complex, unionized public environment. The City will benefit from your strong business and financial acumen and your demonstrated experience providing strategic counsel while inspiring and motivating staff during a period of growth. You are an empowering and inclusive leader with a reputation for mentoring and building strong and cohesive teams. An outstanding communicator with a track record of creating effective relationships based on trust across a broad constituency of public and private stakeholders, you are highly regarded for your diplomacy, political acuity, authenticity and strong judgment. You are a natural influencer and negotiator who is forward thinking and knows how to be both flexible and decisive. People appreciate you for your integrity, resiliency, open mindedness and willingness to challenge the status quo in pursuit of customer service excellence that will ensure the residents of Windsor continue enjoying a high quality of living as the community grows and moves forward.
