Instructor III - Aquatics - District of Saanich





Up to 3 Casual Positions
Saanich Commonwealth Place is seeking up to three certified Instructors who will be responsible for aquatic programs.  The successful candidates will develop and teach aquatic classes, camps and other programs for a range of ages and levels. Instructors ensure that participants are acting in accordance to the facility rules and that the facility and equipment are in safe, working condition.  Instructors also ensure participants are taught according to safety and skill standards outlined by Saanich and Aquatic agencies. 
Requirements include completion of Grade 10 and three months experience in aquatic instruction; any one of the following aquatic certifications: National Lifeguard Instructor (NLI), Water Safety Instructor Trainer (WSIT), Lifesaving Instructor Trainer (LST) or First Aid Instructor (FAT); satisfactory Police Information Check with vulnerable sector (PIC-VS) and Emergency First-Aid with CPR Level C.
The successful candidates will work varying shifts including evenings and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).
This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 position with a wage of $26.30 per hour plus 13% in lieu of benefits.
