UBCM is currently recruiting for a full-time Program Administrator to join our team.

The Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for you to bring your expertise, skills and enthusiasm to the position of Program Administrator for UBCM Program Services (Canada Community Building Fund and Local Government Program Services). This position is based in our Victoria office.
UBCM was established in 1905 to provide a common voice for BC local governments. UBCM’s vision is to effectively represent and serve all local governments in BC by being the recognized advocate for their common interests and by meeting the common needs of our membership. UBCM achieves this through policy work, program management and member services.
The Program Administrator is the primary contact for a number of funding programs; receives and tracks program applications, claims and reports; works with clients and approved applicants; and conducts administrative tasks such as database entry, information management, and administration for information management systems.
The successful candidate is an organized professional with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Experience in administrative support, preferably with public sector programs that support local governments or Indigenous communities, is a key requirement. Information management experience and fluency in standard office software is required. Knowledge using FileMaker, information management systems and experience working in a Macintosh environment would be a definite asset.
Qualified candidates will have successfully completed a diploma is office administration and have two years of relevant employment. UBCM may consider candidates that do not meet the minimum education/experience at a lower classification/compensation.
The salary range for this position is $56,755 to $66,770.

The position is full time, on a two-year term. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. UBCM offers a competitive compensation and benefit package with a flexible work environment and the ability to support some remote work.
