Finance Co-op Students

The Finance Department is looking for Auxiliary/Casual Finance Co-Op students to work from May to August and /or September to December, 2022 at our City Hall location in Delta. Duties include account reconciliation, data collection and analysis, documentation of procedures and other administrative and financial support. An incumbent will possess the ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public as well as perform other duties as required. The work is performed within established policies and procedures and requires a high degree of accuracy and effective communications with internal and external contacts. The successful candidates will be working directly with the Accounting Manager.
 
Desirable Skills:

• Detail oriented and analytical
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel at an Intermediate level
• Knowledge and experience with financial and/or accounting systems is an asset

 
Training and Experience:
High school graduation supplemented by completion of 2^nd year study in accounting, finance, commerce, or economics degree program or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
