FACILITY HOST – Basketball Drop-in Casual Position

The District of Saanich is looking for a Facility Host to meet and greet patrons for drop-in Basketball at Gordon Head Middle School. The Facility Host will monitor safe use of the facilities and provide a supportive role in emergency situations. Under the direction of a Recreation Programmer, the successful candidate will review the facility schedule and any materials provided by the Programmer, pick up keys from the recreation centre, open and close the facility as required and assist instructors in the preparation of the room and equipment.

Requirements include: completion of Grade 10; two months experience working in a public service capacity in a recreation facility; satisfactory police information check and Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C as required.

The successful candidate will be required to work the current drop-in basketball schedule on Fridays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. as well as varying shifts including evenings, weekends and nights (hours/shifts are subject to change).

This is a C.U.P.E. Local 2011 positions with a wage of $18.14 per hour plus 13% in lieu of benefits. Job description and competition information can be found at www.saanich.ca.
