Supporting the General Manager of People and Engagement, the HR Assistant supports essential Human Resources processes, such as recruitment, wellness & safety and labour relations. The HR Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day administration of human resource activities, developing efficient processes and working with managers, employees and their representatives to support a variety of human resources functions. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that the processes supporting recruitment are effective and efficient as well as to provide support to the People and Engagement teams in the development of proficient processes and systems. This position will also provide regular to supervisors, managers, unionized employees and their representatives to ensure consistency and appropriate implementation of employer best practices, the collective agreement, Regional District policies and statutory requirements.
