As a member of the Senior Management team, the Director, Planning and Development is responsible for strategic leadership, planning, management, and administration of the Municipality of Port Hope’s community economic development, and planning strategic initiatives. The Director will incorporate Council and relevant community development priorities based on the Municipality’s strategic priorities and in alignment with Provincial policy and legislation.
- University degree in Business Administration and/or Public Administration Economic Development, Planning and Development or a related field.
- Post graduate degree preferred (MBA, MA, MPA etc.)
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ experience with five (5) years management experience.
- Knowledge of Municipal, Provincial and Federal Acts, Regulations and Standards related to Planning and Economic Development.
Thirty-five (35) hours per week
$117,350.81 - $137,283.85 per annum
Group Health, Dental and Life Insurance benefit coverage after three months of employment. OMERS Pension Plan enrolment as of date of hire.
