Manager of Public Works - Resort Village of Candle Lake
MANAGER OF PUBLIC WORKS
With the assistance of HMC Management Inc., the Resort Village of Candle Lake, Saskatchewan is seeking the services of an energetic and motivated individual to assist them in directing and monitoring the activities of their Public Works Department as their Manager of Public Works (MPW).
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the MPW is responsible for all aspects of managing the public works function of the organization. Currently, the department employs 4 full time and 5 seasonal staff and is responsible for an overall 2021 capital and operating budget of $4.7 million.
Ideally, you will have a Certified Civil Engineering Technologist Certificate or an equivalent discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution with a minimum of three (3) years management experience, a valid Class 5 license and possess well developed written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent is also expected to relate to and communicate with customers, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a congenial and courteous manner.
Salary range for this position is $81,812.50 to $96,250.00. The Resort Village has an extensive benefits package as well. Council expects that the MPW would be willing to reside in, or close to the municipality, and be visible within the community.
