DIGITAL ACCESS LIBRARIAN
(Replacement Temporary, Full-Time – Approximately 12 months)

The West Vancouver Memorial Library has an opening for a replacement temporary full-time Digital Access Librarian position. The WVML Technology Team is passionate, inspired, and known throughout the province for innovation, responsiveness, and leadership. Reporting to the Library Services Coordinator—Digital Experience, and working alongside a motivated high-performing team, the Digital Access Librarian is responsible for developing and delivering instructional programs for both kids and adults; providing advice, assistance, and advanced support to users of various technologies; developing and deploying technology- related initiatives throughout the library; participating as a member of a team engaged in the planning, design, and implementation of spaces, other infrastructure and digital services; and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
The successful candidate will have a degree in librarianship from an accredited library school, including or supplemented by courses in one or more of the following: instructional design, youth and/or seniors’ services, website design, Microsoft Office, programming, multimedia development, user experience, digital collections and services and preferably some professional library experience.
The successful candidate is required to supply a police information check and a copy of their credentials.

Hours of Work:
37.5 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary)
Starting Rate of Pay:
$34.28 per hour
(This position has a pay structure with five steps which increase annually.)
