The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts is seeking an auxiliary Fine Arts Leader to support in the Visual Arts area. This position will provide guidance to Fine Arts instructors while maintaining the smooth operations of programs at the Shadbolt Centre, as well as preparing and maintaining records, reports, and equipment and supply inventories.  The successful incumbent will have sound knowledge of safe work practices in a variety of visual arts disciplines and be comfortable dealing with the public and will prepare studios and classroom spaces for use, ensure classes and instructors are supported, assist with general administrative duties, exhibitions and marketing. Fine Arts Leaders will also perform other related work as required.

Qualifications include completion of a two year Community College program in a Visual Arts and related instructional experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Ability to plan, implement and coordinate the program classes. Abilities to supervise the operation of a studio and specialized material and equipment and to prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports. The successful candidate will need to establish and maintain effective working and teaching relationships with other staff and patrons. Driver’s License for the Province of British Columbia is required.
