The Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) is the regional government serving the approximate 30,000 residents of the Sunshine Coast, BC. Bordered by rugged mountains on one side and the Georgia Strait on the other, the Sunshine Coast is situated on a peninsula between Howe Sound and Jervis Inlet in the traditional territory of the shíshálh and Skwxwú7mesh First Nations. The Sunshine Coast Regional District is currently accepting applications for the position of Deputy Fire Chief, RCVFD (part-time, exempt). Under the general direction of the Fire Chief, provides a broad range of operational, administrative and technical support to the Roberts Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Services include, but are not limited to training, public education, fire prevention, firefighting, fire suppression, and related emergency services and in assisting staff and volunteer firefighters in maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.
This part-time, exempt position includes a competitive salary and cash-in-lieu of benefits.
