Overview: As Director of Municipal Operations you are part of a senior management team with vast experience. You will be leading a department with diverse responsibilities including public works operations, water and sewage treatment, solid waste management, facility & building management as well as parks maintenance. You have considerable experience with managing priorities in a busy department and you are competent dealing with staff and other levels of government as well as citizens. You understand the challenges and problems that municipalities are facing and comprehend best practices in operations, budget preparation for your department and management of people. You bring with you a history of accomplishments and success and have well developed skills in communication, problem solving and leadership. You also share our goal to develop a diverse workforce that represents the citizens in which we serve.

Qualifications: Preferably you have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience coupled with post-secondary education in a related engineering/technical discipline. You hold a Professional Civil Engineering or C.E.T (Certified Engineering Technologist) designation or equivalent and you have an excellent understanding of provincial policies and legislation as they affect municipal government and specific areas of responsibility.
