Traffic Technician

Contribute to our City by joining the Infrastructure Division as a Traffic Technician. As part of the Integrated Transportation team, your key responsibilities include providing data collection, roadway asset management, traffic operations and control reviews, safety assessments, conceptual design of multi-modal facilities and development approval support.

The City seeks an individual with a Civil Engineering Technology or Transportation Engineering Diploma to work collaboratively with other City departments, consultants, developers and external agencies to make our transportation network safer and efficient. Professional Technologist certification (AScT) is preferred. Experience with traffic projections, capacity analysis, traffic control operations and design, active transportation/transit accommodation and traffic safety are considered assets. As a strong communicator, team builder, and problem-solver you will deliver excellent internal and external customer service.
