Senior Energy Specialist

Regular Full-Time

Explore this exciting new job opportunity to work with the Engineering team. The Senior Energy Specialist functions as part of the District of Squamish’s Sustainability team to identify and implement low carbon energy initiatives in line with Squamish’s Community Climate Action Plan (CCAP). The position will focus on actions related to both new and existing building infrastructure, as well as other actions outlined within the CCAP such as decarbonizing transportation and closing the loop on waste. The role is developed in partnership with FortisBC’s Climate Action Partnership program.

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree in environmental sciences, engineering, planning, policy, or another relevant field along with additional education, training or accreditation in a field related to energy or sustainability and five years’ experience years of experience working in a field related to energy or sustainability, or, have an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
