Position Overview
The Port Moody Police department is seeking an auxiliary, on-call Guard to ensure the safety of individuals taken into custody by the police and to maintain the security of cellblock.

Responsibilities
The Guard will monitor the activities of all prisoners on a regular basis and report problems or concerns to the Watch Commander. The Guard will provide meals and other necessities to prisoners, perform First Aid if required and record all prisoner activities and visitors to the cellblock.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12 education plus a minimum of 1 year of related experience
  • Level 1 First Aid
  • Demonstrated decision making skills and sound judgement
  • A valid BC driver’s licence
