Water Treatment Plant Operator

The Community Government of Behchokǫ̀ is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator.  Reporting to the Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator, this position is responsible for operating and maintaining two Class II water treatment plants, water distribution systems, sewage collection systems, and lagoons located in Rae and Edzo in order to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and standards ensuring that the residents of Behchokǫ̀ have clean, safe water.

While work actual hours may fluctuate, depending on service requirements, this position is expected to work a 40-hour week.

The ideal candidate

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License;
  • Must provide a Criminal Record Check;
  • Must have previous Water Treatment Plant operation experience;
  • Should have good computer skills; and
  • Should have proven verbal & written communication skills.

Although not an excluding factor, additional consideration will be provided for candidates who are fluent in Tłı̨chǫ.
