The Systems Analyst is a technical role that liaises with operating departments to identify opportunities for the automation of both current and new business processes in support of corporate strategies. In addition, the Systems Analyst leads in the implementation of enterprise and business critical information systems. The Systems Analyst may also be involved in the development of RFP, RFQs and expressions of interest and be part of selection committees.

Qualified candidates will have completed an undergraduate degree or diploma program from a recognized university or college in a related IT field supplemented by at least 3 years of experience of technical leadership for the planning, implementation and support, as well as project management, business analysis and change management of enterprise software systems. Qualified candidates will demonstrate knowledge of software interface development using technologies such as SQL, PowerShell and webservices with the strong ability to translate business processes into hardware and software system requirements. Qualified candidates must also have excellent technical incident trouble shooting and resolution skills; programming language skills; the ability to develop, debug, maintain and enhance database applications; design and automate reports; a solid understanding of LAN and WAN topologies and a proven expertise with the administration of cloudbased services. SQL Administration Certification, SharePoint Administration training, experience with government-specific software systems, Office 365, Azure, AWS, Project Management Certifications or Scrum Alliance Agile Certifications are considered assets.

The successful candidate is organized, detail-oriented and a customer-centric change agent with the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, create and present materials to technical and non-technical audiences and can prioritize tasks based on departmental and corporate requirements. As well, has the proven ability to contribute to a teamwork environment and establish and develop positive relationships throughout the organization at all levels.

As a requirement of the position, the successful applicant must hold a valid class 5 BC driver’s license and must provide a satisfactory drivers abstract and a satisfactory Police Information check prior to beginning employment.
