The City of Kelowna is looking to fill one Crime Reviewer position in Police Services. Police Services audit over 70,000 investigational files annually! We are looking for policing experience and/or law enforcement background to provide quality assurance audits of all police investigational files, which includes identifying the accurate and detailed classification of uniform crime reporting as required by the Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics (CCJS). Crime Reviewers provide administrative and/or operational guidance, feedback and corrective direction as required ensuring the file integrity of police investigations.

The successful candidate will possess superior analytical and problem solving skills; knowledge of Federal, Provincial and Municipal Laws, knowledge of RCMP systems, which includes the records management system, currently Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME); strong organizational and time management practices; advanced computer skills; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; and the ability to work both independently and as part of the Crime Reviewer team. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an RCMP enhanced reliability security clearance.
