The District of Coldstream, a progressive community of 10,800 population situated in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, is seeking to fill the position of Information Complaints Officer - RCMP.

Under the supervision of the Officer in Charge, Vernon/North Okanagan Detachment, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, or designate, the Information Complaints Officer is responsible for reception and complaint taking. Duties include issuing legal processes and assisting and providing police information and interpreting provincial acts, regulations, federal statutes, and municipal bylaws, to other police agencies, the public and others.  The work is performed according to established procedures, with only difficult enquiries or problems referred to a superior.  Shift work may be involved in this position.   

A valid BC driver’s licence and safe driving record are required. The successful applicant will provide the District with a driver’s abstract and a police information check prior to the commencement of work.
