Procurement Officer

The District of Squamish is seeking a full-time Procurement Officer to join the Finance Team.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Procurement Officer will provide advice to Management for the development of policies and procedures which foster best practices in supply chain management.  The Officer will oversee processes and activities related to the procurement of commodities, supplies, equipment and services to ensure compliance with established policies and to mitigate legal risk to the organization.

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and relationship building skills with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.   They have three years of progressive public procurement work experience and a designation as a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or from the CPPB (Institute for Public Procurement); or equivalent education and experience.
