The Financial Analyst at the District of Squamish play an integral role by supporting the CFO and Manager of Financial Operations in financial planning, analysis, reporting and oversight for financial systems and processes for the District of Squamish. This regular, full time opportunity will primarily provide support in the areas of budget preparation, financial analysis and reporting, senior accounting and staff oversight, while also supporting the Finance Department’s participation in the District’s Technology Transformation Project.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills in supervision, organization, and communication, and have a minimum of five years of progressive experience working in a variety of accounting and managerial environments. An undergraduate degree in areas of Business Administration,
Public Administration or Accounting - is an asset and a CPA designation is required. Past experience in a local government or other public administration environment is preferred.
