The District’s Utilities Technical Services group is currently seeking a dynamic, creative Project Engineer with a balance of Engineering experience, strong communication skills and proven ability to motivate staff.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Utilities and Technical Services, you will have primary responsibility for developing and managing Sanitary/Water/Storm infrastructure design, construction, replacement and maintenance projects and other related work as required.
This position will be responsible for managing and supporting the development of the inflow and infiltration program, sewer/water main replacement projects and water/sanitary pump station projects. Providing daily technical support to utilities operations, maintenance and construction groups.
The ideal candidate will be a Professional Civil Engineer with project management experience, preferably with 5 years of municipal sanitary/water/storm infrastructure design and experience in developing budgets, preparing and managing contracts. You will possess relevant training and experience in Hydraulics/Hydrology. Specific experience with MMCD Contract Administration and field inspection will be considered an asset. Candidates with an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience will also be considered.
