The District of West Vancouver Community Services Department has immediate openings for casual Dishwashers at the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre’s busy cafeteria.
Reporting to the Food Services Supervisor, primary duties will include:
- Ensuring that all dishes are washed, dried and put away
- Washing, drying and storing laundry as needed
- Communicating with volunteers who are assisting with tasks
- Conforming with health and safety regulations
- Performing other duties as required
Applicants must have the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Preferred candidates will have an excellent work ethic along with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work well under strict time constraints. The ability to speak and understand English is required in order to work and communicate effectively with volunteers, staff and the public. Working knowledge of industrial dishwashers will be considered an asset.
The successful candidate will be required to supply an acceptable criminal record check and a copy of their credentials.
