Reporting to the Recreation Centre Supervisor 2, this is supervisory and clerical work in ensuring effective office support and excellent customer service at Cameron Recreation Complex. The Recreation Clerk 3 supervises and schedules the work of a small group of subordinates engaged in cashiering and clerical duties; reviews, develops and upon approval, implements new and improved systems and procedures; prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports; processes and checks cash reports; and provides information and assistance to a variety of internal and external contacts. Considerable independence of judgement and action is exercised in most aspects of the work, with the more complex problems and matters of policy referred to a superior. Performs related work as required.

Qualifications include completion of grade 12 including or supplemented by courses in bookkeeping and commercial subjects plus considerable related experience including experience in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Considerable knowledge and work experience with the functions, regulations, rules, and procedures governing applicable department operations and activities is required, along with sound knowledge and experience supervising, planning, scheduling, and assigning the work of a small group of subordinates performing cashiering and/or clerical activities. Considerable work experience is also required in cash handling procedures as well as sound work experience with the CLASS registration system. The ability to review, develop, and implement improved systems or procedures as well as maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal or external clients is required. An incumbent will also be responsible to maintain a variety of reports, records, correspondence, and related files. Driver’s License for the Province of British Columbia is required.
