Plenty of variety for a skilled painter
You will work from drawings and specifications to provide professional painting services for the construction, renovation and maintenance of School District buildings, grounds, equipment and furniture.
Your day may include a variety of non-routine or emergency tasks such as patches, finishes drywall, and finishes concrete, repairs floor finishes, repairs building envelope graffiti removal and other as required.
As a skilled painter, you will also read blueprints, maintain records and estimate materials needed to complete projects and obtain necessary permits as well consult with inspectors as required.
Along with Grade 11 (or the equivalent),a Journeyman Trade Qualification in Painting and a minimum of 2 years' experience, you bring a commitment to safety and a strong body of knowledge that includes applicable by-laws, codes and regulations, as well as current standards practices for your own trade and an understanding of other architectural trades. In addition, you have working knowledge of a computers with graphical software applications for sign making and a valid BC driver's licence is also required. Must have a can do attitude with excellent customer service communication skills.
