General Manager of Protective, Emergency, and Fire Services   


The General Manager of Protective, Emergency, and Fire Services is accountable and responsible for Fire Services, Disaster and Emergency Management, and Peace Office / Bylaw Enforcement Services for Wheatland County.

As a member of the County’s senior management team, the General Manager of Protective, Emergency, and Fire Services will provide expertise regarding the development of policy recommendations, municipal strategic planning and implementation, issues resolution, and other management and operational matters. The General Manager will also provide leadership to the department and programs to ensure alignment of the operations with the overall goals of the strategic priorities of Council administered through the CAO.

Additional responsibilities may include assuming the duties of Chief Administrative Officer in his / her absence, when assigned.

The General Manager of Protective, Emergency, and Fire Services has the following direct reports: Regional Fire Chief, Senior Community Peace Officer, the Administrative Assistant for Protective, Emergency, and Fire Services.
