Assistant Manager - Purchasing and Supply Solutions


School District No. 35 (Langley) is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Manager – Purchasing and Supply Solutions.  We are seeking an experienced and accomplished business leader to take on this important and challenging role.

Reporting to the Manager, Purchasing and Supply Solutions, the Assistant Manager has professional procurement and administrative responsibilities and supervises the daily operation of the department and purchasing staff.  The Assistant Manager is a subject matter expert in procurement and ensures that effective and cost-efficient practices are implemented while strategically leading the process improvement of procurement operations in accordance with District Policies and Administrative Procedures. 

You have completed a post-secondary education in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a similar program.  You possess a Supply Chain Management Professional designation and you have more than 6 years of related experience.  You are committed to continuous improvement and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.  You are an excellent problem solver and decision maker and you possess the ability to work independently.  You are knowledgeable about the education sector, provincial and Canadian procurement laws and requirements related to Public Procurement activities.
