Field Services Labourer

Two Casual Positions


The Peace River Regional District invites applications for two casual Field Services Labourer positions. These are diverse on-call, as needed positions that require self-driven, motivated individuals who are experienced in carpentry and building maintenance, and who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Reporting to the General Manager of Environmental Services or designate, and working under the Field Services Working Foreman, the successful applicants will perform various duties on an as needed basis, including, but not limited to, vehicle and building maintenance, snow and ice removal, infrastructure repair, monitoring and reporting on water/sewer systems, inspections and reports. The Peace River Regional District encompasses the largest geographical region in British Columbia. This position will require travelling to all areas within the regions’ 120,000 km2 boundary, familiarity with the area is an asset.

Preference will be given to applicants with working knowledge or experience with carpentry and/or the maintenance of parks, waste management sites, water and sewer infrastructure and vehicle maintenance.

The rate of pay for these union positions is $28.79/hr, plus 14% in lieu of benefits. A detailed job description can be obtained at: https://prrd.bc.ca/employment/
