The District of Saanich is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Preschool Assistant who will be responsible for assisting the Preschool Instructor in managing and facilitating activities with the Nature Forest Program as part of our Kiddie Capers Preschool at Saanich Commonwealth Place.  The successful candidate will assist in the planning and implementation of this full year (September 2018 – June 2019) childhood program including set up and clean up, lead children in activities as directed by the Instructor and provide program activity feedback to the Instructor.
Requirements include: completion of Grade 10; 3 months experience in related area of instruction; satisfactory Police Information Check; and current Emergency First-Aid and CPR Level C.  The successful candidate will be required to work Monday and Wednesday from 1:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. There will also be opportunities to provide relief for sick leave and vacation coverage for other Kiddie Capers Programs, beginning September 2018, scheduled Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.; varying shifts up to 40 hours per week (hours/shifts are subject to change).
This is a C.U.P.E.
