Revelstoke Mountain Resort, with the most vertical (5620’) in North America, was awarded the ‘Best Canadian Ski Resort’ distinction at the World Ski Awards held in Kitzbuhel, Austria.

The City is looking to attract a progressive and accomplished Fire Chief to join our team. Responsible for overseeing development and the operating functions of the Fire Rescue Department we are seeking candidates who can demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills and have firefighting qualifications geared towards the management and operation of a modern fire rescue service. The Fire Rescue Department comprises a composite department staffed with professional firefighters complimented by dedicated volunteer members of a Fire Rescue Society. The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years of experience in a career or composite department, certified in NFPA 1001 at level 1 & 2 with Fire Officer Certification, Emergency Management certification or equivalent, and a valid Class 3 with air endorsement driver’s license.

We are looking for a motivated team player that understands the value in providing excellent customer service to the community and strategic advice to the City. Our ideal candidate would be a strategic thinker, able to professionally communicate well-considered, accurate and innovative advice to City Council and staff in support of fire rescue services.
