Working Foreman Parks


The Working Foreman Parks supervises, instructs and works with employees, plans, organizes, schedules, assigns and oversees the day-to-day work related to the operations, repairs and maintenance of parks, cemeteries and landscaped boulevards including general maintenance of parks buildings, playgrounds, irrigation systems and pruning of grounds, flowers, trees and grass. This position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of parks operations and development, and provides highly skilled horticulture and supervisory work of a complex nature under limited supervision.

The successful candidate shall possess a Certificate, Diploma or Degree in horticulture, arboriculture or turf grass management from a recognized college or university and hold an Arborist designation or be eligible for registration with the Arborist Association of BC (ISA) along with a minimum of two years experience preferably in a municipal setting.
